Carnivals, Concerts, and Cotton Candy at the Clayton County Fair

Livestock, carnival rides, cotton candy, and live entertainment – You must be at the Clayton County Fair!

Amidst the rolling hills of Clayton County, Iowa-- is the Fairgrounds National. Say it with me, NAY-SHUN-UL. No county fair is complete without a carnival. This year, rides are included with the price of admission, so kids of all ages can enjoy all that the carnival has to offer. Games and concessions will also be provided by Amusement Associates LLC.

The 4-H kids have been working hard all year to raise livestock, take photos, make clothing, and design other unique projects. Stop in at the 4-H Exhibit Hall to admire what our youth are capable of!

Exhibitors from all over the county will be sharing information, selling their goods and handing out goodies in the Commercial Exhibit Hall.

The entertainment is all lined up to provide a week of family fun. Step into the show barn for the many livestock shows throughout the week. Relax and sing along as Jon Pardi and Lorrie Morgan entertain us country folks Thursday and Friday night. Gear up for the Kiddie Tractor Pull on Saturday followed by the Demolition Derby, which is sure to be a bang up time. Sunday morning, join the roaring crowd for the truck and tractor pull. The grandstand entertainment will be rounded out with the Celebrity Donkey Races on Sunday evening.

Fair food is a summertime favorite! Just follow your nose to the many food vendors and make your selection – corn dogs, burgers, ice cream, funnel cake, cotton candy, and much more.
