Fairy Tale Pageant at Northeast Iowa Bridal Show

Most every girl dreams of her special wedding day and with the help of a special bridal show she can get all kinds of ideas to make her and her prince charming's wedding a perfect fairy tale. The good news is that going to a bridal show means that you can meet all of the  40 vendors and Bridal Productions from Decorah as they put on an elaborate showcase for the bride to be. What more can you ask? Okay, maybe the weather could cooperate for once, but besides that if you went last Saturday you probably got a lot checked off that long list of things done while having a great time doing it.

Celebrating twenty years in business in Decorah, owner of Bridal Productions Sharon Kleve from Calmar says, “It was a wonderful success despite the morning snowstorm!” And indeed it was another spectacular pageant of bridal outfits and other formal attire during Decorah’s Northeast Iowa Bridal Show held Saturday, January 18, at Luther College Center for Faith & Life. Forty local vendors were on site with elaborate displays and wedding ideas for the several hundred people attending despite the snowstorm. Business owner Sharon Kleve is responsible for the annual event. The highlight is the fashion show which combines beautiful dazzling designer gowns and wedding attire with delightful entertainment and music. This year’s theme was “Fairy Tale" and delighted the audience with an adorable skit with  beautiful piano background music by Jeanette Dietzenbach.

The music included the familiar sound of Disney music as the parade of models showcased their wedding attire. The original fairy tale skit was written by creative Sharon Kleve was performed by her dashing son, Darin, and adorable granddaughters, Morgan and Kali. The skit took place in the Enchanted Forest of Disney where the little princesses discovered beautiful wedding gowns named for Disney characters, nearly tripping over a little gray frog that turned into Prince Charming. When asked about the show, Sharon exclaimed “It takes a lot of preparation, but I try to make the fashion show entertaining as well as informative. I couldn’t do it without the cooperation of my talented family, employees and friends. I love to give all the other businesses the opportunity to showcase their ideas and creativity,” as Sharon helps make those fairy tale dreams become a reality.

Each year in January, Sharon gets wedding vendors together and rolls out the carpet to brides-to-be. I hope you were able to attend and found that perfect dress, photographer, reception venue, hair stylist, food, Wedding cake, flowers and more that will make the perfect dream wedding that is right for you and a day that you will cherish forever. Northeast Iowa is the perfect location to have that fairy tale wedding, either in one of the many beautiful outside locations or Churches. Either with a themed wedding or traditional, Sharon and the other wedding vendors are there to make sure everything is perfect. Congratulations on taking the first step planning your special day! We hope you found the perfect dress in the enchanted forest and help from other vendors on your journey to the altar.
