Pinot & Paint: Art Class in Decorah!

Decorah native, Robyn Sand Anderson, will be leading Pinot & Paint, a wine and paint class, at Vesterheim Museum's Westby-Torgerson Education Center in May. This wine and paint class is unlike most. Robyn leads participants through an experience of abstract expressionism. Each person creates, with guidance, a unique painting using acrylic color, shape and texture on canvas. The result is a classroom of truly unique one-of-a-kind paintings. No paintings look alike. Sand Anderson’s class promotes self-expression and gives the participant the tools to get there through step-by-step demos. It's a fun and light-hearted experience!

“No experience is needed. You do not have to know how to draw. This kind of painting brings you back to the joy of creative play that some have not experienced since childhood. Pushing color around on canvas is good therapy, it’s good for the soul, and everyone can do it. Everyone’s painting becomes their own unique expression, ” Sand Anderson says.

The Pinot & Paint wine and paint class takes place on Saturday evening, May 14, 6:30-9:00pm. The $40 workshop fee includes all supplies of acrylic paint, brushes, canvas, and texturing materials needed to create your own unique painting and a glass of wine is included (or non-alcoholic options are available upon request.) The class will take place in a classroom on the third floor of the Westby-Torgerson Education Center on West Water Street in Decorah. (Elevators are available.)

Call or e-mail Robyn at RobynSandAnderson@gmail.com or call 507-276-7873 to reserve your spot today.

Space is limited. Don't miss out on this truly unique experience of creative play!
