Sipping Award-Winning Wine Along the Mississippi River

Inside this riverside winery in Marquette, there is a long counter with a smiling face behind it.

They are happy to share a glass of their awarding-winning wines.  Enjoy tasting the Iowa wines produced by nationally recognized and awarded Iowa Wine Maker of the year.  Each year,  Eagles Landing Wines have received Gold, Double Gold and Best of Class Awards in national and International competitions that have received earned the regional gem 145 awards since 2007.  This family owned winery is located on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi river and on the Great River Road in Northeast Iowa.  

Eagles Landing features fun and unique wine-related gift items to complete your wine experience. They host monthly events that visitors from far and near come to enjoy. One such upcoming event, Leap-in Leprechauns is March 19th-20th. On April 16th & 17th, the Spring Fling Weekend is happening, followed with Uff Da Fest May 21st and 22nd.

The Halvorson’s welcome you to come and enjoy the festivities and try up to five palette pleasing award winning wines for free, offered daily from 10 am  to 4 pm. Experience notes of fruit or oak in some wines that tickle at your nose and encompass your taste buds, with a smooth finish, which will have you sipping your glass until the bottle runs dry. Enjoy a bottle among friends and family in the wine garden gazebo and soak in the warm sunshine. The winery is located in the preserved home of the last Native- American Indian, Emma Big Bear who lived a traditional Native American life in the Marquette area. Enjoy learning about her life and times and observe her handmade baskets at the winery. Travel the River Bluffs Scenic Byway to experience a unique and enjoyable time at Eagles Landing Winery, 127 North street in Marquett.

    Always a wonderful time at the winery, so many great wines to try, it makes it hard to decide. So take a bottle of each home. Have a great time we always do.
