Emerge from your winter hibernation! It’s time to get out and enjoy a crisp winter evening with friends and family at the 3rd Annual Taste of Winneshiek in downtown Decorah, February 3rd. From 5pm to 8pm come enjoy extended hours at participating businesses, where you can browse, shop and sample the culinary talents that Winneshiek County has to offer!
Tourism remains vibrant in Winneshiek county even through the winter months, thanks to the hard work of the Winneshiek County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB). Director of the WCCVB, Charlene Selbee explains, “Events, such as Taste of Winneshiek, are coordinated by the WCCVB to promote Decorah and Winneshiek County during the winter months. . . January, February and March, which is the off-season for our tourism industry.”
Not only is this a great boost for local tourism, this is a wonderful opportunity to gather together with friends and family, and stay active in the community during otherwise dormant winter months. Selbee adds, “This is an opportunity for Winneshiek County businesses to showcase their product and share Winneshiek County’s warm hospitality with our guests and residents.”
Taste of Winneshiek is bound to please no matter what your taste. Get your printable map, so you can plan your stops along the tour. And check out the tasting guide for a full list of foods and beverages to sample! We can’t wait to see you there!
