The ArtHaus Studio located in downtown Decorah is the perfect place for fostering your creative side! This charming and vibrant local is home for the visual, performing, and literary arts. Arthaus is chalk full of big time culture that mingles alongside a small town feel.
There are various classes and events conducted in and around Arthaus throughout the year. They offer a variety of public art events, as well as camps for young people and adults. This artistic hub offers creative programs for all ages.
Kristen Underwood (Instructor and founder of Upstart Crow Theatreworks) and Lea Donhowe Lovelace (founder of Little Masters Art Studio) opened ArtHaus in 2008. ArtHaus is a cheerful and welcoming place for quality art education and practices in Decorah, and is currently being run by it's two new co-directors: Eric Nels Petersen-Brant and Jenni Petersen-Brant.
ArtHaus instructors are carefully cultivated and bring years of knowledge to the table. They adeptly customize art curriculum for enthusiastic participants - ranging in age from toddlers to adults.
Why not chase winter blues away at Arthaus, where you can learn dancing, poetry, pottery, painting, languages, and so much more? ArtHaus also hosts concerts on a regular basis and is available for private parties, reunions, and art gathering sessions. They host free and low-cost events all through the year for the benefit of the community.
Winter classes at the studio
Arthaus winter classes are for children ages 4 - 6. Children can gear up for wonderfully creative weekends and explore their minds and bodies at through a wide variety of methods. Bring in your little ones for exciting projects led by experienced teachers.
