DECORAH-- Local Decorah Doula Lindsey Harman of Arrival Arts has been busy. After years of offering birth classes for parents-to-be in and around Decorah, as well as offering her Doula services throughout the Northeast Iowa region and beyond, Harman is branching out. Arrival Arts now thriving "Arrival Circle" began just a few short months ago, as just an idea the mother of three entertained while partially awake and nursing her young son back to sleep. It has since manifested into three weekly gatherings benefiting both families and businesses in three different counties. Each gathering features a local expert on that evening's topic including *nourishing your baby*, *self care* and *parenting resources. Support for mothers in and around the Driftless region just keeps on growing.
Now, dubbed "The Doula Circle", something entirely new is being born next week. Beginning on March 16th, and lasting six weeks, Harman will begin a six week session with doulas-in-the-making, including group work, private consultation, and shadowing opportunities. For seasoned birth workers as well as individuals with the intention of (or interest in) supporting others during pregnancy and birth, this circle will be a fabulous step toward building those skills, confidence, and birth presence. Featuring both group sessions and personal consultation, this unique opportunity is sure to be enriching and engaging.
Registration includes additional opportunity for shadowing Decorah Doula Lindsey Harman and Arrival Arts, currently serving clients in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
