Eagles Landing Winery: Award-Winning Wine Made in Northeast Iowa

Did someone say FREE wine tasting? Two of the most beautiful words in one sentence: wine and free.  Eagles Landing Winery, located in Marquette along the mighty Mississippi River on the Great River Road offers free wine tasting every day in their gift shop.

Eagles Landing Winery is a family-owned, award-winning winery located in the beautiful Clayton County in Northeast Iowa. Since 2007, the winery has brought home over 200 awards including the 2013 Iowa Wine Maker of the Year. Planting their first grapes in 1999 and beginning commercial production in 2001, Roger and Connie Halvorson began the 13th winery in the great state of Iowa—to date there are over 100!

Branded as “Marquette Maid,” Eagles Landing Winery produces 36 wines that range from dry to sweet and from red to white. These wines can be purchased at the winery itself and at over 150 different locations in Northeast Iowa and Southwest Wisconsin.

Eagles Landing Winery hosts many different events throughout the year with upcoming events featuring:

  • Leapin’ Leprechauns on March 18-19: Sample a wine-a-rita and pick a shamrock to win discounts
  • Spring Fling Weekend on April 15-16: Sample wine and pick a flower to win discounts
  • Uff Da Fest on May 20-21: Celebrate Syttende Mai (Norwegian Independence Day) by tasting their award-winning wines

Eagles Landing Winery’s mission isn’t to be the biggest winery in Iowa, simply the best.

Eagles Landing Winery is the perfect weekend getaway: beautiful scenery, friendly people, and most importantly, delicious wine!
