“It takes a tribe to survive these days, and I am truly grateful to have found my home within the walls of Steel Magnolias: our hometown women’s sanctuary.”
These are the words of Hollee Moorman, owner of Steel Magnolias, in Edgewood. Steel Magnolias is much more than just a salon. Partnering with North Gate Healing Center and massage therapist Marge Banse, Steel Magnolias strives to instill confidence in every woman who walks through the door.
Moorman’s motivation to create a place where women can share their struggles, feel beautiful, and rest and relax comes from her own past.
“Being divorced and remarried again, my life has not been all sunshine and roses. I have struggled and feel that I am empathetic to my clients. I love to hear their stories and try to encourage them,” explained Moorman.
Steel Magnolias and North Gate Healing Center will be hosting a Holistic Wellness Fair on Saturday, January 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m at Steel Magnolias at 117 N Washington St. in Edgewood. There will be various holistic health practitioners, wellness coaches, a spiritual medium, and many other presenters and vendors to help harmonize your mind, body and soul.
