Northeast Iowa Beauty Abounds in Bent Willow Studio & Gallery

Along the mighty Mississippi River lies the quiet river town of Guttenberg. The beautiful sights, sounds and smells of the surrounding area inspire artist Rebecca Hennessey and the Bent Willow Studio & Gallery to create one of a kind oil paintings. From landscape sceneries and eye-catching views to two or four legged friends, Hennessey starts with a brush on the canvas and her passion develops from there.

Hennessey and Bent Willow Studio & Gallery also offer oil classes for beginners and intermediates as well as Paint it Forward events every month, where funds drummed up from the event go to supporting a local organization or charity. Parties of up to 16 can be accommodated and are the perfect for birthday parties, bridal showers or any special event! Stop by on Open Door Day with your masterpiece and supplies for a quiet place to add your finishing touches or search for inspiration.

Hennessey will be able to capture your furry friend’s personality in a painting you will treasure forever. The artist will also be able to capture the joy of a child through the portrait of your loved one. She will have a meet and greet, point and shoot session, or use photos if the kiddo is unavailable to visit the gallery. Hennessey loves to explore the backwaters of the Mississippi River in her kayak to search and paint all the beautiful scenery.

Surprise a loved one with one of the above ideas or ask the artist to create a painting of your own! Think of Bent Willow Studio & Gallery the next time you are looking for a truly unique one-of-a-kind gift.

Bent Willow Studio & Gallery is located at 12 Schiller St. in Guttenberg. More information can be found on their website or Facebook page.
