Sit back, relax, and start sipping on the delightful wines from Jennings Winery. The natural grape wine flavor intertwined with zests of strawberries, peaches, and blackberries creates many different blends that are the perfect complement to every event and meal.
The owners, Ed and Tina Jennings, have turned their love for wine and their wine-making craft into their own business in Strawberry Point, in the midst of scenic Clayton County. Both coming from Irish decent, they use their heritage to inspire their unique fruit-flavored wines.
Each of the seven wines that the Jennings craft have a distinctive flavor and name that sets it apart. A new release, Rory, named after the last reigning king of Ireland, is a structured fresh spicy wine that is fit for a king. Fiàin Berry Red, a Shiraz, is full bodied with tastes of blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. Another popular fruit-flavored wine, Ruckus Berry, a sweet yet full-bodied Cabernet, that channels the rich flavor of blackberries. Just Peachy, with the perfect amount of dryness and tartness of a Chardonnay, blends the flavors of peaches and apricots together to create a blend that is refreshing on a hot summer Iowa day. Other wines include Strawberry Delight, a pleasing Merlot that is the perfect drink to enjoy in Strawberry Point, Iowa; O’Cherry, a fruity yet smooth acidity filled Pinot Noir; and Razzy D, a raspberry and dragon fruit blend to splash the palette.
All of these refreshing wines can be purchased online or at different locations throughout Northeast Iowa including Nading’s Service & Sporting Goods.
Jennings Winery will soon be releasing another must-taste wine, Top O’ the Day. For more information about Jennings Winery visit their website or Facebook page.
