As the seasons change, and the weather gets warmer or cooler, there are always a few things homeowners have on their mind. For some, the upcoming football season makes their Sunday afternoons ‘game day’, though for others, a little change of scenery is needed. Whether to get into the holiday spirit or make their home feel like a warm blanket after a brisk day, a change in interior decoration can do a lot to create a new atmosphere. Ideal Decorating in Guttenberg has a wide range of brands and furniture pieces to suite every personality and make any house feel like home.
In my house, there are a few pieces that must stay in the house, because they’re family heirlooms or they were crafted by my great-grandfather. So every time I get an itch to redecorate, I have to keep those pieces in mind and make sure that whatever I find matches them. With the cooler weather rolling over the hills in Clayton County, I knew I wanted to look for warm colored pieces; a new throw blanket, rug, whatever caught my eye. I went to Ideal Decorating in Guttenberg to see if I could find the perfect pieces to warm the home.
As I stepped inside, the faint smell of warm vanilla had filled the shop, and the slightly dimmed lighting gave the space a warm, welcome feeling. I was greeted by a bubbly staff member, who obviously knew what she was selling and took my needs into consideration. As we toured the store, I walked by a pair of beautiful ruby red chairs. I had to stop and analyze them; picture them in the room, test out the seat, and make sure they matched what was in the room already. They were perfect for the living room, and a grey and russet orange blanket across the room had caught my eye as well. Together, they made a beautiful statement piece that would warm the living room up for the coming winter.
After I purchased my new furnishings and had them delivered to my home, I had made many more trips to and from Ideal Decorating to see what was new, and to look for the finishing touches to make the room perfect. Once I lit the warm vanilla soy candle, its gentle glow warmed the room. The living room was complete, and it was all thanks to a little décor shop in Guttenberg.
