This Saturday! Free Northeast Iowa Farm Tours at the Winneshiek County Farm Crawl!

There's something spectacular-- and FREE going on this Saturday in Northeast Iowa! You know your doctor. You know your dentist. Now, get ready to get to know your farmer, at the Winneshiek County Farm Crawl!

The farms of Winneshiek County are beautiful, unique, and right in our backyard. Curious? Join with friends and family and head out to the country this weekend for fun, fresh air, and free farm tours.

In collaboration with Iowa's Dairy Center, the Winneshiek County Convention and Visitors Bureau is putting on the first annual event. Participating partners include Seed Savers Exchange, Sherlock Shrimp, and Winneshiek Wildberry Winery.

(All of whom will be providing fantastic free samples!)

Begin Saturday at the Winneshiek County Farmers Market in downtown Decorah from 8 to 11 a.m. Stock up on fresh, seasonal produce, baked goods, fresh flowers, and gifts.

For the remainder of the day, hit the road for your free agricultural tours!  Visit Sherlock Shrimp, the indoor aquaculture operation producing Tilapia and Pacific White Shrimp.

Get refreshed, at the Winneshiek Wildberry Winery where they're growing not just grapes, but rhubarb and plumbs, all of which go into their fantastic Iowa wines. Learn about dairy practices at Iowa’s Dairy Center. And don't forget to stop by Northeast Iowa gem Seed Savers Exchange, where you can join their staff throughout the day for operational tours. There's even a traditional barn dance at 7 p.m!
